History of Charley’s Restaurant: “In 1978, after retiring from Professional Baseball with a World Series win with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1971, Charley Sands decided to open a chain of restaurants called Charley’s in various cities of Virginia and North Carolina. The first opening occurred in Charlottesville, VA. The Lynchburg Charley’s was the second to open on September 24, 1980 at the River Ridge Mall.”

Salsa Dance Night

Looking for something new to do on a Friday night? Grab a date, spouse, or friend and put on your dancing shoes! Each Friday evening from 9 PM – 12 AM, the Dance Theatre of Lynchburg, located in Downtown Lynchburg, offers a fun night of salsa dancing! For those who have never danced the salsa before, lessons are held from 9 PM – 10 PM and social dancing continues until midnight! The Dance Theatre of Lynchburg is located at 772 Commerce Street, Lynchburg. Admission is only $5, which includes your lesson.

First Fridays at Riverviews Artspace
